Top 100 DJs Poll 2009 launches 3 August

The Top 100 DJs Poll is an annual event that now attracts over 350,000 voters from every corner of the globe, reinforcing the fact that dance music is a truly global culture.

From the UK to China, and the USA to Kazakhstan, in 2008 voters from 167 countries voted for their favourite DJ. In 2009, that number is set to grow, as dance music has once again ignited worldwide charts and dancefloors in equal measure, thanks to the continued success of its leading figures and a new breed of electronic music star.

The Top 100 DJs Poll is a public vote where voters are given the chance to name their Top 5 favourite DJs in order of preference. The debate rarely leaves the dance world all year, but during the next few months the speculation on the world’s top spinner, new entries, and biggest climbers, will reach fever pitch across online forums, Facebook, Twitter, and beyond. This is the time for clubbers to make their voices heard!

Ferry Corsten presents Full On Ferry 2009

The most exquisite party of the year – Ferry Corsten presents Full On Ferry: The Masquerade – returns to the Ahoy on 17 October 2009. For the past two years Full On Ferry: The Masquerade has built a global reputation for being one of the most groundbreaking and exquisite nights in dance music. The first two editions have had amazing reviews from clubbers and critics alike with many first year attendees returning for round two acknowledging that this a must see annual event.

During this unique show, world famous DJ Ferry Corsten will play a spectacular 8 hour set. However, he will not do this alone. Ferry invites the DJ’s, live acts and artists that impressed and inspired him the most during the last year. With each of these artists, Ferry will perform a spectacular back-2-back set.

This year, these artists will be: Marco V, Dutch superstar DJ with a constantly evolving techno/trance/progressive sound. BT, one of the most talented trance & progressive DJ/Producers working today will have his debut performance in the Netherlands. Duderstadt, the renowned underground trance production outfit consisting of brother Marco & Dirk from Germany. Markus Schulz confirmed as Godskitchen 2009 Festival Resident

Clubbing heavyweights Godskitchen and Global Gathering have given Schulz the official title of 2009 Festival Resident meaning Markus, who is no stranger to Godskitchen, will have taken in over eight festival/arena dates by the time summer is done with. Due to these commitments and a gruelling Global DJ Broadcast Schedule, Markus will play Ibiza just four times this year.

Speaking from his studio in Miami, Markus said “It was a pretty tough decision to make as Ibiza plays a very special and an important part of the calendar for me, but after weighing it all up and the fact I’ve played there as resident for so many years, 2009 seemed like the year to try something different. I’ll be pulling out all the stops to ensure my shows in Ibiza this year are super special!”

Fans wanting to catch Markus in Ibiza should make a note of the following and plan ahead. Markus will premiere at Tuesdays@Amnesia on June 30th, he’ll be back on August 4th and 25th and then will then fly solo on 15th September as the curtain falls on another season.
